Microsoft Issues “Save the Date” for October 2, 2019 Event
Microsoft issues “save the date” for October 2, 2019 event. In the past few years, Microsoft has held a separate hardware launch event in New York every fall. This year, Microsoft should update the overall Surface product line including Surface Pro and Surface Laptop.
Some people talked about the AMD-based Surface Laptop that will be introduced by Microsoft at this fall hardware event. Some tipsters said that a refreshed Surface Pro device would come with USB-C support at this event for the first time.
It is also rumored that there will be Surface ARM products (with LTE support) and Surface Laptop with AMD processor.
The price of Surface ARM products could be around $999. Someone said that built-in LTE support won’t be added to the new Intel-based Surface Pro devices, Microsoft will just make built-in LTE a feature of ARM-based device.
Microsoft offered specifications and pricing for HoloLens 2 earlier this year. Microsoft may announce the delivery date of its HoloLens 2 device on this October event.
Although Microsoft officials demonstrated the advanced render of the device internally this summer, Microsoft seems will not launch its dual-screen at this event, which is similar to Courier’s Centaurus device since it is not ready to launch the device yet.
Microsoft issues “save the date” for the expected October hardware event, but the lunch of Centaurus doesn’t have a specified date that could be in 2020. Both Centaurus and HoloLens 2 will run Windows Core OS inside.
